JON BON JOVI - Press Conference, Performance, Honored - PHILLY - OCTOBER 5TH
(Wednesday, October 4, 2006)
JON BON JOVI will be based in PHILADELPHIA tomorrow, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5TH for several events.

In the afternoon, JON BON JOVI (along with Project H.O.M.E., Habitat For Humanity, Saturn and the Philadelphia Soul) will hold a media/press conference in North Philly to announce and launch a new partnership and plans for housing. This is NOT open to the public/fans. This is a closed event. VIP guests and credentialed media only. Please look to this site for information, to local/national media as well who would cover the event. When the full press release is finalized, it will be shared with you here at http://www.bonjovi.com as well. Jon Bon Jovi will be speaking, as will representatives from the agencies Jon and the Soul are partnering with. Also in attendance and speaking will be former U.S. President William Jefferson Clinton.

Presidents George H.W. Bush and William J. Clinton – who joined forces, transcending partisan and political differences to do what's best for the country and the world through their Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund and Bush-Clinton Tsunami partnership – will be presented with the 2006 Liberty Medal. The Presidents, who are credited with raising more than $1 billion to support disaster relief and recovery organizations, will accept the Medal and its accompanying $100,000 prize on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the National Constitution Center, in what will be the first Liberty Medal award given under the Center’s management. This is the first time both Presidents will be present to accept a joint award for their efforts.
JON BON JOVI will be performing (along with Bobby Bandiera, Jeff Kazee and Lorenza Ponce) at this event.
This is an outdoors event -- please note - if you're hoping to take a chance and see if you can witness anything from afar, there will be extensive police presence, security and traffic/street closures in the adjacent area near the Constitution Center/Liberty Bell/Independence Hall area.
The event itself though open to the public had access restricted to ticketed attendees and tickets are no longer available to the Medal Ceremony.
The Medal Ceremony will be broadcast live on the Philadelphia ABC Affiliate (WPVI - TV, Channel 6) beginning at 7:00pm. Jon Bon Jovi's performance is towards the end of the program. We can't say what the aired program will cover, what might be covered nationally, what might be covered on national, international or local news beyond the Philadelphia area. A recap on the event will be shared here at http://www.bonjovi.com
For more information on the Liberty Medal, please visit the following website:

At a reception dinner following the Liberty Medal Ceremonies, Jon Bon Jovi will be presented with the City of Brotherly Love honor by Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street. This will not be televised.
